Jesus Died to Save Us
God So Loved The World…
The Holy Lamb of God, the sinless Son of God, willingly and knowingly allowed Himself to be arrested, persecuted, beaten, humiliated, scourged, pierced with a crown of thorns pushed into His scalp, and forced to carry His cross to His execution.
Jesus also allowed Himself to be nailed to that cross, stripped of His clothing, His dignity, and mocked as they hoisted Him up to the top to suffer a horrible and excruciating death. Jesus had to die on the cross for us.
Our God, Our Savior, God in the flesh, His Son Jesus Christ had to pay our sin debt. Jesus, spoken of in prophecy, had to cover and wash away the entire sin of mankind forever. His blood, His sacrifice has made it possible for sinful humanity to stand before God in the coming Day of Judgement. The penalty for sin is death. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to take our punishment. If justice is to be served, it should be us on that cross, not Him. He did nothing wrong.
Again, Why did He have to pay this price for me? It should be me on that cross, to pay for my sins. Jesus took my punishment for me and you.
In The Beginning…
When God made Adam and Eve, they were as innocent children. All of humanity at that time had a personal relationship with God; He was their Father, and they were His children, they loved each other. At that time, they knew no sin.
An Evil Plan
Lucifer, now known as Satan, introduced sin into the hearts of Adam and Eve. Satan is the father of all lies. He deceived them and tricked them into sin, disobeying God’s command to leave that single tree alone. Since then all sin, all pain, all murder, all lies, all darkness of heart entered the heart of man. Humanity fell from grace.
However, God created us in His image. God will always love us no matter what, but we, as a people, are separated from God because of our sin. That was what Satan wanted. To spiritually isolate humanity so the evil one could influence us away from God.
A Covering of Sin
In the Old Testament, God used the shed blood of an innocent and pure animal to cover our sinful transgressions. Throughout the Bible, there are accounts of the sacrifices given to God. Including the protection of lamb’s blood at the door of every Hebrew during the first Passover, God protected every covered firstborn in Egypt during Moses’s day.
These events were foretold in old testament prophecy. Please click this link for your research. I employ you to verify everything I have written on this website. Verify with scripture. The Bible is the true inspired word of God.
…In His Presence
If Jesus had not given His Earthly life for our souls, we would suffer spiritual death. A sacrifice was required. This sacrifice had to be Holy, sinless, spotless, with no blemish. The only one who qualifies is God’s firstborn, God in the flesh, the innocent, pure, and blameless Son of God, the Holy Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. He loved us so much He suffered all this because we are His children. You see, the only way to restore a connection with our Father, our creator, was to remove the sin we created so we may have eternal life with our Father in heaven. God is a Holy God, and sin cannot exist in His presence.
In my humble opinion, these events had to take place.
We all should realize God, who is omniscient, knew in advance the events that would follow after Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. The Jewish leaders had to reject Him and sacrifice Him. If they hadn’t, His blood would never have been shed. We would never have God’s redemption. The Apostles would have never received the great commission to spread the gospel throughout the globe.
Without His sacrifice, Satan would still have a claim on our souls. Christ’s sacrificial blood would not cleanse us of our sins. Remember, (Romas 3:23) “all have fallen short of the Glory of God” and (John 14:6) “none come to the Father except through Me.”
The Good News?
Ok, what is so good about sacrificing our Savior’s life? Not only did Jesus wash away our sins, but He, the Son of God, God in the flesh, defeated death. Three days after His crucifixion, Jesus rose from the grave. This single event crushed Satan’s hold on all mankind. All of humanity is now saved from evil and sin and all the darkness the evil one will use to keep you from God.
All the children of God now can experience the connection with God that Adam and Eve had in the very beginning.
How Can I Know Jesus?
There are no tasks to perform, no complicated rituals, no “works” that you must accomplish. No one has to prove they are worthy. Any religion or organization that requires a task to perform to join is not from God.
Have faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Accept Him into your heart. That is all. Believe in God and believe in the Risen Christ, who rescued you from Satan’s grasp. Jesus accepts you just as you are, right now. He can and will forgive all sins you may have done, just ask from the sincerity of your heart. Start your journey with Him.
Love the Lord with all your heart, follow His commandments (which aren’t that difficult.)
Learn the scriptures, join with fellow believers, study, and ask questions, I know you will have many. True Christians will help build your faith and guide you in your walk with God.
Warning!
However, there is a warning: Satan hates Jesus. Satan has lost and he is the worst sore loser you will ever meet. The evil one will try to drag you back to your path to Hell. He will try to make you believe you are not worthy, that you are unwanted, that your sins are unforgivable. ALL LIES-STRAIGHT FROM HELL! Remember, Satan is the father of lies.
Becoming a Christian is not the end of the journey, it is just the beginning. May I remind you that as you are new in Christ, your strength in Christ may not be developed yet. Satan will attack you when you are at your weakest. Seek Jesus in scripture, read your Bible, pray, find a fellow believer to stand in your corner with you. Satan is defeated. He just doesn’t want you to know it. Satan is a deceiver. He plays mind games and uses psychological warfare. He wants to keep you in darkness.
Jesus Welcomes You
You must be confident that Jesus is the Light of the World, and all of Heaven welcomes you. Freedom comes from the truth of God. Freedom from addiction, abuse, crime, sexual impurity, immoral behavior, and any other sin. Strength in God will give you the ability to take the first step toward the light of God, keep taking those steps one by one. Walk toward the arms of your true loving Father.
Regardless of what happened in the past, once you accept Jesus died for you, that His blood has washed away your history, and removed your sins from the books, you are now reborn. You can create a new you in His image. You are loved.
