Study The Word of God

Thousands of years have transpired, and the written word of God has proven itself to be the most effective teaching method ever.

God Himself used the written word when He wrote the Ten Commandments. The Israelites were one of the first nations to have developed a functioning alphabet. Not to be confused with pictures and drawings that tell a story or folk tales verbally passed down through the generations but actual words on a page.

God has used many methods to convey His message. He spoke to Adam and Eve as well as Moses. He used visions and dreams when He talked to Joseph. The Apostle John also received images and later wrote the Book of Revelations. Jonah and other prophets were “called” by various methods.

However, for us, His children. His sheep, in Jesus’ name, God has given us the Bible. The very written word of God.

The Bible first started as the Tora. Moses wrote the first five books as a foundation for the Israeli nation. Moses wrote of the events he and his people went through as a teaching tool. Our Holy God inspired these books or scrolls so we may learn of Him and His covenant with all believers of the Jewish and Christian faith. God inspired every word in the Bible. They were written by His hand (The Ten Commandments, for example) or written by men through the Holy Spirit. Verified and canonized by theologians.

God’s word kept pure and unchanged guarantees the accuracy of God’s teaching. God desperately wants to save His children, and He created us in His image so we may understand and know the will of our Father, our creator.

Jesus sacrificed Himself on the cross to save humanity from Hell and the darkness of Satan. The Bible guides us, teaches us, warns us. Finally, the Bible leads us to salvation in Christ.

The Holy Spirit, the essence of God Himself, resides in this book. The Spirit of God grows within us as we read about our Creator and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

The Bible tells us of the light of God. Read the whole truth of God by studying the whole book. Today, society only looks at snippets, and 20-second news feeds. We think we’re smart enough to fill in the blanks and figure it out, or we don’t have the patience to sift through the whole story and fact-check what needs to be verified.

That is how Satan works. God’s enemy, our enemy, only gives us half-truths and then allows doubt and fear to do the rest. The other half of the half-truth is a half-lie. A half-lie corrupts the whole truth. Satan tried this on Jesus when our Savior was wandering in the wilderness. However, Jesus is God the Son, and He already knew the whole truth and used God’s word as the sword of God to defeat the lies of Satan.

Satan used this trick on Adam and Eve, and the entire human race fell from grace. The only salvation we have is the sacrifice of Jesus. His shed blood washed away our crime of sin Satan forced us to endure. We as a race must believe in our Risen Lord. God loved us so much He gave His only Son to take the punishment we deserve. Grow your faith in God the Father, God the Son, and God The Holy Spirit.

Now faith grows by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Read your Bible, read about how God made you, read about how much He loves you, read about how He will strengthen you in times of trial (and you will have trials.) Read about how He saves you from eternity in Hell.

The Bible is our love letter from God Himself. The written word of our loving Father. This book is meant for us so we as a race can learn about Him. The written word is the best way to show humanity the heart of our God, our Savior, and the Spirit of God that lives within us. Read your Bible, grow your faith, believe so you can be saved. Why? Because He loves you.
