The Cost of Salvation
The Cost of Sin

Bought by the Blood of Jesus
Love, salvation, the wonderful gift of grace given to us by Jesus Christ is the best thing to happen to humanity, ever.
Jesus paid our debt to cover sin with His flesh and blood. If Jesus had not died for us on the cross, we as a race would be condemned to darkness, left to our carnal hearts as a slave to sin, as chaff for Satans harvest.
The triune nature of God states that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are one. So when we quote John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (v.17) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
He means; to save all of humanity from the lies, deceit, and darkness of Satan in Hell. Jesus is God. He paid our price, Jesus was 100% God as well as 100% man. Jesus was indeed the Son of God, and truly one with God. God, the Son Jesus, died so we would be saved from eternal damnation. All we have to do is accept Jesus died for us on the cross and believe He is our Savior.
Faith is the Key
Faith is the belief in things not seen. Now you may not see God or the love of Jesus directly in front of you, but His Love can be felt within your heart by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 10:17) “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Any person who believes Jesus is our Lord and Savior, that He willingly sacrificed His life on the cross as our Sacrificial Lamb, is now saved from condemnation and can have eternal life in Heaven with Jesus. This offer is available to every man, woman, and child, Jew, and Gentile alike.
“…for all who believe…”
Paul states in Romans 1:16 to not be ashamed of the gospel, or the good news of salvation. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew and also for the Greek.”
(v. 17) For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “the just shall live by faith.” I once read in a study bible that we live the whole Christian life by faith. God loves to honor faith because faith honors Him.
God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness
However, in Romans, 1:18-32 speaks clearly about unrighteousness. (v.18) “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.”
Paul continues (v.22), “Professing to the wise, they became fools, (v.23) and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man- and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. (v.24) Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.”
God will give people over to the sins they refuse to give up so that those sins will take over their lives and eventually destroy them.
An Unpopular Truth
This next quote is written verbatim from Romans chapter 1 verse 26-28 NKJV. This verse leaves no room for error or speculation.
“For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. (v.27) Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.”
“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind which are not fitting; (v.29) being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality…” Romans finishes with verse 32. “…who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death. not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.”
Current Trends
In good conscience, I can’t avoid the next comment. In this passage, the Bible clearly states homosexuality is a sin. It has no place in Christian church leadership. My prayers and compassion go out to those who engage in this activity, along with those who condone it.
I am not qualified to judge anyone. Jesus is the only One who can look at a person’s heart from the inside out. It doesn’t matter who you are on this earth or what you have or haven’t accomplished. Without Jesus, you are lost in darkness.
Jesus is not worried about public opinion. He is not politically correct. He doesn’t care how many “likes” he receives on Facebook or His latest post on Twitter. Jesus is not campaigning for political office. He already holds one of the highest seats, the one at the right hand of God. God will not change or bend to what is currently trending. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is God; Jesus is our Savior, follow Him, and receive everlasting life.
Desperately Save
I am so grateful Jesus died for me. He forgave all my sins, paid my debt, and because of this, I am now accepted in Heaven. However, these sins and behaviors that caused me to sin had to stop. If I had willingly continued in my unrighteousness, I would have been given over to sin also. I know it’s difficult, the deeper the pit the harder the climb, but no pit is deeper than God’s outstretched arm reaching down to save you.
The Holy Spirit didn’t lead Paul to write these passages out of judgment or hatred. Your Savior, Jesus Christ, needed to get your attention and speak the truth of God to you. He desperately wants to save you from the consequences of your sin. We are all accountable for what we do in this life. In the end, we must answer for our actions, good and bad.
The Cost of Sin
The gift of salvation to God costs you very little. Yes, you need to adjust your lifestyle and change some habits but the benefits are tremendous. You also need to accept Jesus, ask Him into your heart. Jesus paid the price of your sin, it cost Him everything.
The cost of sin is much too high. You may experience an indulgent lifestyle for a season but it will leave you searching for more. A sinful life will leave an empty hole that only Jesus can fill. The cost of sin is death.
Hope
Please let God in, let Jesus have a place in your heart. Jesus knows your challenges. God will strengthen you. Following the trends of this world will trap you in empty darkness. I’ve felt the cold emptiness this world offers. In the end, Satan has nothing of value. Once you notice the love of God, you will realize Jesus is the light of salvation that can fill your heart with hope.
I am inviting you to find a Bible and discover God. I know you will have questions. Please send a message from my contact page or leave a comment on this post. I may not be an ordained pastor, but I have more than 20 years of bible study in my heart. If I am unable to help, I will refer you to a pastor who can direct you in your search for God.
Always remember, you are loved,
God Bless.
